Advanced Coaches Course

The Advanced Coaches Course is designed for ambitious senior club and secondary school coaches looking to take their coaching ability to the next level.

This course provides coaches a rare opportunity to work intensively with the world's best coaches, in a practical environment developing a structure, strategy and blueprint to use in their own coaching environment.

Aiming to provide a platform for developing coaches, this course focuses extensively on the fundamental skills of rugby coaching – building a solid foundation for coaches to develop further.

The Advanced Coaches Course covers the following aspects:

  • Team strategy and game plan design
  • Attacking techniques and methods
  • Defensive patterns and structure
  • Talent identification
  • Performance analysis
  • Position-specific coaching knowledge

This course is run in tandem with our Advanced Players Course – which provides coaches a "hands-on" opportunity to put theory into practice with experienced players.

Coaches will also receive 1-on-1 tuition from position-specific experts to acquire an in-depth knowledge of each position on the field.

These experts will include former All Blacks Mike Brewer, Rodney So'oialo, Chris Jack, Eroni Clarke, Ofisa Tonu'u, Murray Mexted and more.
